Frames for Foot Gratings

Two styles of frames are available, each adaptable for use with a pit or drain pan if needed. Either frame can be used to support any of the five tread rails. Site conditions or designer preference will determine which frame type is appropriate to use.

All frames and gratings are fabricated from extruded alloy aluminum, and designed to support a minimum of 300 lbs. per square foot uniform load. Greater load ratings are available on request. All surfaces in contact with cement receive a shop coat of primer. Each frame is shipped ready-to-assemble and detailed instructions are included. Gratings are shipped ready-to-install in sections if size dictates. Maintenance instructions are included.

Model JL-L Level Bed or Thin Slab Application

SPECIFICATION INSERT:  Grating shall be furnished with vinyl cushion

Model JL-CP Concrete Pit or Model JL-DP Drain Pan Application

SPECIFICATION INSERT:  Concrete drain pit shall be formed when frames are set.  Drain, trap and connections to be furnished by others.  NOTE:  JL-DP privided with 16 gauge aluminum drain pan.

Stainless Steel Foot Gratings

J.L. Industries now offers stainless steel grates, an elegant finishing touch for the perfect entry.  Treads consist of Type 304 stainless wire, .093" x .156", with support rods at 1" centers.  Spacing between the rails is .125", and the grate is available in 5/8" or 1-1/8" thicknesses.   Please contact us for more details.
